Remembrance Day: Honoring Service, Sacrifice, and Peace
Every November 11th, we gather to honor those who have served and sacrificed in times of war. Originally known as Armistice Day, this day marks the end of World War I in 1918. Today, Remembrance Day is a time to reflect on the courage and resilience of all veterans and service members, as well as those who gave their lives in the pursuit of freedom and peace.
By wearing a poppy and observing moments of silence, we pay tribute to their bravery and express our gratitude for the peace their sacrifices have helped protect. This day also reminds us of the importance of unity, compassion, and the ongoing pursuit of peace.
In remembering their legacy, we renew our commitment to honor and cherish the freedom they fought to preserve.
