How to Stay Grounded and Balanced During Intense Full Moon Energy
By Julie Hines
Full moons can amplify emotions, stir up old patterns, and create a sense of restlessness. Here are practical ways to stay grounded and balanced during this intense full moon phase:
1. Emotional Release:
Journal to express and release any lingering emotions. Write freely without censoring yourself.
Take a long shower or bath, visualizing the water washing away stress, heavy emotions, and stagnant energy.
2. Rest and Recharge:
Prioritize sleep, even if it feels disrupted. Try calming practices before bed, like deep breathing, herbal tea (chamomile or lavender), or a guided meditation.
Unplug from social media and news to reduce overstimulation.
3. Mindful Movement:
Go for a nature walk, focusing on grounding through your feet and noticing the textures and colors around you.
Do gentle stretching or yoga to release stored tension, especially in the hips and shoulders where emotional stress is often held.
4. Protect Your Energy:
Visualize a protective shield of light around you, setting the intention to only absorb what is beneficial.
Limit time with people who feel draining or overly intense right now.
5. Clear Your Space:
Open windows to let fresh air circulate, symbolizing the release of stagnant energy.
Light a candle or incense with the intention of clearing the air emotionally and energetically.
6. Connect with the Body:
Eat grounding foods like root vegetables, nuts, and warm, nourishing meals.
Massage your feet with a calming oil (like lavender or sandalwood) to bring awareness down to your body and out of your mind.
7. Reflect and Reset:
Ask yourself: “What am I ready to let go of?” and “What new intentions do I want to plant?”
Write down a single intention or affirmation to focus on until the next new moon.
